My life as a videographer/editor actually started as a musician. Weird I know.

Music I knew, stemmed from my genes as my Uncle was a music producer who pressed records. Over the years I built up a small home studio, developed my skills and put CD's out. I'm not only responsible for my music but the music of countless others.   LimeStone Studios was born.


As for film...we'll I'm not sure where that skill came from. As far back as I can remember I always loved photography and always carried a camera around with me.

(I still do that today). I read somewhere that most of the great directors, editors and videographers started from photography.

A lot of technical principals are similar as well as the vision your trying to capture behind a lens.

I was always asked to take pictures for people and I’ve captured a lot of amazing images so I started Hieroglyphix Pix.


A lot of people loved my photography work and my ability to capture feelings and emotions (especially with children).

One person asked me if I can capture video images the same way I capture still images.


I didn't know...


 

So I went home fired up my old Mac G4, launched iMovie and started messing around. It wasn't long before I discovered I had yet another skill and SphinxPhilmz was born.


Using my musical talents I realized the emotional importance of music in a film and not only can I find music that works, I can create original music or use the endless list of independent artists I worked with musically and via features from the online magazine my brothers and I started (PulpMag/RogueMag).


SphinxPhilmz is dedicated to bringing you state of the art, emotionally driven film and/or editing services at a fair price using industry standard gear and software.


Film and editing is a passion not a job.
